Today's Race of MotoGP: Laguna Seca 2013

welcome back to my original review of MotoGP race again. thank you, guys for keeping it as a habit to check on my post about MotoGP :) yeap, today's race is special for our proud premier class MotoGP. no smaller machines' classes for today (Moto2 and Moto3) so this is really epic, this is >> MotoGP Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix. today's race is held at anti-clockwise-circuit Laguna Seca, Monterey, California. the race had 32 laps since this is the shortest circuit in the list, and the race was exactly held at sahur time, so I definitely wasn't going to sleep after having sahur. okay, no strings attached, let's just continue to the Kings' Class.

Laguna Seca Circuit

MotoGP
the first row was dominated with Honda. the first was lead by LCR Honda rider Stefan Bradl, followed with Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez, and Honda Gresini rider Alvaro Bautista. yeap, Honda and youngsters! while uniquely, the second row was filled by Yamaha riders: Yamaha Factory riders Valentino Rossi on the 4th grid, and Jorge Lorenzo on the 6th grid, while 5th grid was filled by Yamaha Tech 3 Racing rider Cal Crutchlow. beautiful starting grid, wasn't it? and the foremost grid from the CRT men was held by Aspar Team rider Aleix Espargaro as usual. anyway, it was really a huge surprise in the first place when Stefan suddenly and dramatically took his very first pole position, from Marc. Marc was having an accident in the last 4 minutes of Qualification session, as he still held the pole, and he decided not to take part of qualification anymore, and let himself becoming the second. and the most important thing is we were having Dani Pedrosa on the grid again! yeay, the Little Spaniard was fit enough to take race and started from the 7th grid behind his most contender, Jorge. let's see how sharp this race was.
when the race started, Stefan just took over the race in the first position. he was really fast and Marc was slightly unseen haha it doesn't mean that he was really far far away from Stefan. that moment, Stefan was followed by Vale behind, while Vale was always sneaked by Alvaro. basically, Marc was outta Top 3 and the battle was focused on Stefan and Vale. fights were also seen behind, involving the rivalries of Jorge and Dani. clearly not the best fight ever from the two of them, but absolutely jazzy as they both had the same problem on their own left collarbone. A Fight of The Injured Kings. Jorge of course had a worse problem than Dani since he bent his titanium plate, while Dani 'just' fractured the bone. but it was seen that Dani's main problem wasn't come from his injury, but more because of his psychological state. of course he had trouble with it since his lil brother rookie Marc showed up so 'starry'. but I just gave him thumbs up for Dani! I know that Dani is a strong man covered with a cute body :')
so, Stefan was leading the race followed with Valentino behind. Vale didn't show up as fast as he was at Assen circuit. Vale made a quite long gap with Stefan, and step by step made a longer gap as the lap passed by. maybe it was about mechanical problem, like Cal had in the FP1, and Bradley Smith did not finish after having mechanical problem in the main race. the bike didn't go so fast like the Honda machine belonged to Stefan. as the gap between Stefan and Vale went longer, Marc made a closer gap with Vale! yeah, after overtaking his buddy Alvaro before, he finally was in Vale's back. as Vale had a problem with his bike, as he made a wider pace, making an opportunity for Marc easily overtaking him. until.. finally Marc overtook him for the 2nd place at The Infamous Corkscrew! this is just like what Vale did to Casey Stoner on 2008. well, I guess this all turned as a karma, no? hahaha

so, Vale, how did it feel like? :p

after being the 2nd, Marc wasn't satisfied enough to run for the first. since his gap was far enough with Vale on the back, he slowed down the bike, saving energy for making maneuver to overtake the first while Stefan had his bike becoming slow down. this was the battle between Honda Factory and Honda Satellite. as Stefan had his machine 'weakened', it was the time for Marc to #gas more and when Stefan widened his pace, he finally was already on the first position. of course it wasn't a hard job for Marc to overtook Stefan as he also surprised himself that the race wasn't giving a more struggling than his first thought. of course.. once Marc is on the first, there's no way for other contenders to run for him, he is so damn fast! so, let's be back to our Kings. Dani and Jorge had a fight for the 5th, and Dani was successfully overtook Jorge at the Andretti Hairpin (check the circuit map) and made himself as the 5th rider. I don't understand either why Cal was at the back of Dani and Jorge unlike he used to be. I think the same problem with Vale's and Bradley's.
it's time for additional moments! you might also see about another fight between... fellows Ducati Corse Team. yeap, the two of them, Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden may always have a fight each other. I don't understand why Ducati just could fight each other and not within other factory teams, it's seen that Ducati isn't good enough to compete with the Japan's Teams like Honda and Yamaha. and unfortunately today's winner for CRT wasn't Aleix Espargaro since he had a crash in the last corner :( and also, his team mate Randy de Puniet had a mechanical problem and made himself as The DNF. as Hector Barbera Avintia Blusens rider finished in 10th as he held the winner for CRTs. well, congrats, Hector!

there was a short bump between them

felicitaciones, Marc!

The Podium!

well, there was an unusual moment on the podium. after the playing of winner's Nationality Song and the trophy's handovers, it was the time for champagne, no? well, the champagne was there, but surprisingly, the champagne spraying tradition was not seen, and the riders just drank it (and sprayed it from the mouth -_-) instead. the commentators say that there might be a rule of not littering the podium (but why they still littered it by puking it from the mouth?!) or probably to value the champagne for not spraying it to people (guys! this is America! that'd make sense) but anyway, still, #Respect

let's drink the champagne instead

as Marc finished in the first, and gained 25 points, he now still leads The Championship Standings with 163 points, while Dani Pedrosa is in the 2nd with 16 points different, followed with Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi who replaces Cal Crutchlow's place with 1 point different. well, congrats Marc! you have a pride position for this summer break, while Cal cries in the corner. I believe it is not what you expected in the first place of pre-season, but yeah you are now as good as Dani. but please... I'm still expecting to see Dani with gold medal in the end of the season :''( but hey! let's cheer up guys, cause it's time for..
joyful moments! this is the special thing of my every-review for you guys ;) you won't miss it, will you? as you saw the moment of the best overtake made by Marc over Vale, it also comes out as Vale's karma with Casey lol so Vale, don't mess up with anybody, okay? cause The Baby Alien will give it to you in return someday hahaha just kidding. okay, basically, let's just pretend that this is Vale's turn to feel the mysterious Corkscrew as of Vale joked around saying, "It looks like Marc likes to take my overtakes!" but yeah, the two of them are funny and friendly men so they just made it as a joke (?) hahahaha so check this video below (dramatic, wasn't it?)

The Legend-Fan couple is now best friends :)

aaand another funny moment spotted in the Post-Qualifying interview with Marc. Alvaro is such a funny guy he's seen joking around in every video lol and I didn't know what he thought that time to sneak past Marc there under the table, cause literally it's broadcasted live on air!! hahaha no wonder when I watched Marc's interview live on TV, it was started with Marc's laughter before the question thrown, and seconds later he was shown seeing under table, giggling. what the.. by the way, this is the short video :p
